ALABAMA ROCK

Northern Alabama has many fine sandstone climbing areas.  In recent years access issues and redneck issues have seemed to plague this state.  Most of the access problems stem from rednecks abusing areas and getting them closed for all users.  The majority of the climbing in the state has trended toward sport climbing in recent years but some fine old trad lines still exist if you look around.
