lost wall, pigeon mt. georgia

Lost Wall, located on the Crockford-Pigeon Mountain W.M.A. is Georgia's premier sandstone area.  An almost endless cliff line awaits the adventurous.  While a predominantly traditional area there are a few bolted routes.  Do not take this as an invitation to develop sport routes as the current rules do not allow it.  These bolted lines were put in before the current land manager took over.

Lately some routes have been put up that have holes drilled for removable routes.  According to who did the  F.A. the holes will either be 3/8" or 1/2".  These little units allow for great low impact "fixed protection".

It can be hot and buggy here during the summer months, but it can be quite pleasant when the sky is overcast.  Early Fall through Early Summer is prime time for Lost Wall.   While it may seem crowded when you first arrive just a little walking will generally get you beyond the crowds.
