WINDING STAIR GAP
Winding Stair Gap is the tallest road cut area in the S.E. Several of the routes stretch a 60 meter rope by the time you make it to the trees. There is ample parking and the cliff line is far enough away from the road to keep you from worrying about getting run over. This is another of those places that draws a large crowd when conditions are good. The only real drawback can be the noise from all of the traffic.
