CNC ROUTED SIGNS

The integration of the CAD/CAM CNC router into the sign industry has been one of my favorite innovations in my lifetime of manufacturing  We were one of the first shops outside of metro Atlanta with a large format CNC router and rather than buying a cheap Chinese machine we purchased what at the time was the best U.S.A. made machine available and even running 24 hours per day for weeks at a time our Gerber Sabre 408 is still accurate to its 0.006" tolerance as it was when installed.  We enjoy programming and operating machine equipment and when we invest in machines we buy the best we can. The number of tasks this tool can be used for is staggering. The CNC router cuts much more than signs and use for all types of tasks which are only limited by imagination. At many shops the CNC router has virtually replaced jig saws, band saws, hand held routers and more but we not only still have these tools but use them even if more labor if our client desires hand made craftsmanship.

 CNC MACHINING SOLID ALUMINUM PLATE

The router is regularly used to cut plywood, Plexiglass, Lexan, PVC sheet, Avonite and Corian Solid Surface Material, aluminum, brass, bronze, and high density urethane foam (Sign foam).  There are very few projects that go through the shop these days in which the router doesn't play an integral part.  With the full three dimensional capabilities from our ArtCam Pro software package, we have even replaced traditional sandblasting with CNC routing.  We can drop in any background texture a client desires from wood to stone and simulate them at a reasonable price.  We use a lot of T6 and T7 aluminum from Ryerson Metals even if hidden under powder coating and gold leaf as when using finishes that can last an average persons lifespan or longer outside want the material under it to be as durable if our clients budget affords the best of everything.
